Snip and Sip

I finally found a good hair salon in Edinburgh that knows how to handle my crazy hair. Snip and Sip is a one woman show in the heart of the Summerhall. The space is bright and cosy and Magda knows her thing and quickly found the best course of action. See the end result below.

The Counter

On a canal boat, docked on Edinburgh Quay app, The Counter must be the most original cafe in Edinburgh. It serves great coffee and delicious home baked pastries. It’s a pity the outside seating is only usable on good weather…

Glasgow

This year the A8C Christmas dinner was in Glasgow, and funny enough after two years living in Scotland I’ve never visited Glasgow before! I really enjoyed the city and a nice night out with my colleagues. Next day I still had some time to see a little bit of the city before popping back in…

Brochan

A small cafe in the heart of Marchmont with amazing porridges, excellent avocato toasts and good coffee. The wifi is functional and there is some power plugs around. The ambient music is excellent and the staff is very friendly. Will be coming back for sure!

Summerhall Yoga

When I moved two years ago to Edinburgh I started to practice Yoga again. Because I was not practicing for some years I decided to pick up some classes in order to refresh my knowlege and get some guidance. Luckily in Edinburgh there is multiple options for Yoga practicioners , but not all of them…

Black Ivy

Tonight I was invited to the opening of the Black Ivy, a new gastro pub and boutique hotel just next door to the Bruntsfield links. As you can see by the photos below the new space looks amazing! It has a small stage and there is the promise of life music during the week and…

Hyde and Son

Today I went to new town Edinburgh to do some shopping and use the opportunity to have a lunch on the Hyde &Son cafe.

Half eight

A cosy cafe just at one of the edges of Meadows. Coffee is artisan roast and the owner really knows how to brew it. There is a abundance of food options to keep you fed and the WiFi works great! A great addiction to the Edinburgh coffee scene.

Peebles

Today I went to visit the small village of Peebles. Has you can see by the phots it’s a beautiful village near the river Tweed and with the Autumns colours it even looks better. Lunch at Coltmans, the best sausage roll I haver had! Followed up by hot chocolate at Cocoablack!

The Herbivore Kitchen

I saw a recommendation for this new vegetarian cafe in Edinburgh, the Herbivore Kitchen, so decided to give it a try.
