Tonight I was invited to the opening of the Black Ivy, a new gastro pub and boutique hotel just next door to the Bruntsfield links.

As you can see by the photos below the new space looks amazing! It has a small stage and there is the promise of life music during the week and Jazz brunches on Sunday. A ping pong table is available if you want to spend some energy.

The restaurant offers a solid menu with good local ingredients and they have plenty of options in terms of beer and wines.

The place was all of the ingredients to become one of our top options for weekend lunches.
