Following the lead of other cities in the UK, Edinburgh started a cycle hire scheme.

For £1.50 you can rent a bike for an hour, £3 for a full day and £90 for a year.

This is a very positive step to encourage people to cycle more.

I hope this is followed up with more investment in cycle paths and eventually stopping the car traffic on the city center.
